Volunteer Opportunities:

At OnStage Playhouse, volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization, helping us create memorable theatrical experiences and enriching the cultural fabric of our community. We have various volunteer opportunities available, including:

Ushering and Front-of-House: Assist in welcoming patrons and creating a sense of community before and after every performance. You may be asked about upcoming productions as well as other limited engagement and community events. We have that information readily available for you to reference. You will play a vital role in ensuring a positive and enjoyable theater experience for our audience members.

Concessions: Help with concession sales, including serving refreshments, handling transactions, and maintaining inventory. As part of our Front of House staff you also play a vital role in welcoming our patrons into the space and creating a sense of community.

Fundraising and Development: Assist in fundraising events, donor outreach, and other development initiatives. Your efforts will help us secure financial support to sustain and enhance our productions.

Production: This is the help we need in between productions. It can be anything from helping move set pieces to and from the theatre, carpentry, scenting painting, and even procuring props. As a production volunteer, it is your hard work that help us create the award-winning theatre we are known for.

Please note that volunteer opportunities may vary depending on the current needs of the theater. We will do our best to match your skills and interests with available volunteer positions.

Apprenticeship Opportunities:

OnStage Playhouse also offers apprenticeship opportunities for individuals seeking hands-on experience in the theater industry. Our apprenticeships provide valuable learning opportunities and a chance to work closely with theater professionals. Apprenticeship areas may include:

Production Apprenticeship: Assist with various aspects of theater production. These are focused on the operational side of an individual production.

Design Crew Apprenticeship: These may include the opportunity to shadow, assist and learn from our stage managers, set, scenic, costume, lighting, and sound designers.

Arts Administration Apprenticeship: Gain experience in theater administration, including marketing, fundraising, event coordination, box office operations, and general theater management.

Please note that apprenticeship availability may vary based on the needs and production schedule of OnStage Playhouse. We strive to provide a supportive and educational environment for our interns, offering valuable mentorship and practical experience.
